有同学向留学生办公室反映，在北太平庄周围、北师大东门至南门一带，特别是门外的过街天桥上，有小偷偷盗现象。为此，留学生办公室特别提醒广大留学生朋友：保管好个人财物，注意防盗，切勿将贵重物品或现金随手放在背包内。请将贵重物品保存在房间保险柜里，离开房间时请锁好房门。

Recently, some international students have reported
to ISO that they encountered theives around Beitaipingzhuang, from the
east gate to the south gate of BNU, and especially on the overbridges
outside campus. Therefore, we remind the international students to take
care of your belongings and avoid being stolen. Please do not put your
values and cashes to your backpack randomly; put your values in the safe
in your room; and do remember to lock the door when you leave.

北京气候干燥多风，请同学们确保用火用电安全，谨防火灾发生。请不要躺在床上吸烟，不要乱扔烟头，不要在房间内使用电褥子、电烤箱、电暖气、电炉子等用电量大的电器，不要私接电线，出门前请拔掉电源插头。

Since it is dry and windy in Beijing, please be careful when using fire
and electricity. Please do not smoke when lying on bed; do not throw the
cigarette end randomly; do not use electric bedding, oven, electric heating,
electric stove, and etc.; do not join the electric wires without authorization;
and do remember to pull off the plug.

托 车

2005年7月1日
起，北京市海淀区交通管理部门将对以下违反交通规定的摩托车进行集中整治、严肃处理、扣留车辆，情节严重的对当事人予以行政拘留或吊销签证的处罚。
违反交通规定的行为是：无证驾驶、伪造驾驶证和证件不服的；
车牌号不是北京牌照的、伪造车牌号和证件不符合的。
请有摩托车的同学在 7月1日
以前到留学生办公室登记摩托车，请大家遵守有关摩托车管理规定，配合学校工作。
About Motorbike
Since July 1st, the traffic administration department of Haidian District
of Beijing will regulate the motorbikes and the owners who break the traffic
rules will be punished. The regulation-breaking motorbikes will be detained
and their owners will be arrested or their visas will be revoked.
The regulation-breaking deeds include: driving without licence, faking
driving licence or using others' licence, using the number plate of other
cities, faking number plate and the number plate is not in accord with
the information of driving licence.
Note: students who have a motorbike, please register to the International
Students Office before July 1st and please obey the traffic rules. Thanks
for your cooperation.
