·Living On Campus

Ø         Students who have booked rooms on campus are expected to check in with the required documents in the apartment directly and get the Registration Form of Temporary Residence at the Reception Desk.

Ø         How to Change Your Room among Different Apartments: If you are not satisfied with your current room and wish to change your room on campus, please register at the Reception Desk of the apartment you intend to live in after 8:00 am, Sep.16th. The Information Desk of that apartment will inform you from Sep. 20th to 12:00am, Oct. 3rd (two weeks), if there is any room available. It is based on the first come, first served case. After that, please go to International Students Office with your new legal Registration Form of Temporary Residence to register your new address and phone number.

Ø         If yon want to change room after Oct. 3rd, you need to pay the house rent of two weeks to the formal apartment you live in as expense. Please refer to the related items in the Introduction to International Students Apartments of BNU.

·Live Off BNU Campus

Ø         If you live in a foreigner-proofed hotel, apartment or an international student apartment at another school, you need to apply for the residence registration certificate from the Reception Desk beforehand. If you rent a civilian apartment or house, you need to register at the local police station to get the Registration Form of Temporary Residence with your landlord within 24 hours after you move in. To apply for the registration form, your landlord need to present the host’s residence booklet, the certificate of title to house property, the lease and ID card (户口本、房产证、出租合同和身份证) to the policeman and you need to present your passport.

Ø         If your off-campus address changes or the valid period of your Registration Form of Temporary Residence expires, please get the new legal residence certificate and provide it to International Students Office and together with your new phone number.

Ø         If you go outside of mainland China (including going to Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan region), you need to apply for a new Registration Form of Temporary Residence even though you come back to the same residence. Please DO confirm with the Reception Desk of the hotel, apartment, or the local police station if your residence information has been submitted successfully via internet.

Ø         If your visa changes or renews, please go to the local police station within 24 hours with your passport to update your residence certificate. Otherwise, you will be fined by the police station.

Ø         Students who live off campus must provide legal residence certificate to the International Students Office together with your phone number. Otherwise you could not register at BNU and the Public Security Bureau will not conduct any visa procedure.
